Cushman & Wakefield Inks N.J. Leases for Retailer JoJo Maman Bébé

Stores in Montclair and Hoboken Among First in UK-Concept’s Tri-State Rollout

HOBOKEN and MONTCLAIR, N.J., July 23, 2018Cushman & Wakefield has inked two New Jersey retail leases for maternity and children’s clothing boutique JoJo Maman Bébé. The new stores in Hoboken and Montclair are among the first in the country for the UK-based concept; Cushman & Wakefield secured these two leases.

Retail leasing specialist David Townes, based in the commercial real estate services firm’s East Rutherford, N.J. office, was responsible for representing JoJo on these two leases: a 900-square-foot commitment at 407 Washington Street in Hoboken and a 1,850-square-foot commitment at 6 South Park Street in Montclair. Jerry Gustoso of Engel & Volkers and Neal Richards with Vanguard Realty served as respective landlord representatives in the long-term leases.

JoJo’s Hoboken location opened mid-June, and the Montclair store opened July 13. The retailer offers baby clothes, quality kids wear, and stylish maternity and nursing collections, along with gifts, toys and practical products. The 25-year-old brand has 90 stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

“JoJo Maman Bébé caters to mid-market demographics, and its first two New Jersey locations reflect the vibrant downtowns we are targeting,” Townes said. “These markets serve a population of young, growing families, which makes them great fits.”
