Cushman & Wakefield Named Exclusive Agent for Waterfront Development Site in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

New York, NY – April 30, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the firm has been appointed as the exclusive agent of the River Street Assemblage, a 3.2-acre waterfront development site located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The property is being marketed without an asking price.

A Cushman & Wakefield team consisting of Vice Chairman Stephen Palmese, Executive Managing Director Brendan Maddigan, Senior Director Andrew Behymer, Director Ethan Stanton and Director Michael Mazzara will be leading the marketing efforts on behalf of the seller, Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc.

“Located on the East River waterfront near iconic North Williamsburg buildings like the Austin Nichols House, The Edge and the Domino Sugar development, the River Street Assemblage is a remarkable commercial development site offering incredible scale and opportunity in the center of one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods,” said Brendan Maddigan of Cushman & Wakefield.

“This site offers a massive 3.2-acre footprint carrying up to 278,910 square feet of as-of-right commercial development rights and the opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for class A office and big box retail,” added Stephen Palmese of Cushman & Wakefield.

The River Street Assemblage is located in an M3-1 zoning district permitting a wide array of commercial uses, including retail, office and light-manufacturing among others. The project will benefit from its waterfront exposure, expansive Manhattan views and 385 feet of frontage along River Street.

The property is in close proximity to the East River Ferry, the L-train, and the proposed Brooklyn Queens Connector (BQX).
