Cushman & Wakefield Secures 6,110 Square Foot Lease for United Neighborhood Houses at 45 Broadway

98-year old nonprofit relocates headquarters to the 22nd floor of building owned by the Lawrence Group

NEW YORK, February 7, 2017 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has secured a 10 year, 6,110 square foot lease for United Neighborhood Houses (UNH) at The Lawrence Group’s 45 Broadway.

Founded nearly 100 years ago, United Neighborhood Houses is a membership organization of 37 settlement houses whose neighborhood based services help improve the lives of a  half million needy New Yorkers each year.  Settlement houses serve New York’s poorest communities and, historically, they assisted the millions of immigrants who came to New York City.  UNH supports their work through policy development, advocacy and capacity building programs and activities.

“Downtown Manhattan continues to provide good economic value to nonprofit organizations. Specifically the move to 45 Broadway will enable UNH to provide large, flexible conference room space for its member organizations and to create a contemporary, technologically advanced office environment,” said Debra Wollens.

Ms. Wollens, Director and David Lebenstein, Executive Managing Director and co-head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Not-for-Profit Practice Group, represented United Neighborhood Houses; Dan Ginsberg, of the Lawrence Group, represented the landlord in-house.
