Fast-Casual Tex-Mex Chain Takes 2,680 Square Feet at New Bridge Landing Shopping Center
RIVER EDGE, N.J., September 20, 2018 – Popular fast-casual Tex-Mex chain Moe’s Southwest Grill has inked a lease deal for a new location in Bergen County, New Jersey, global commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield announced today.
Moe’s will occupy 2,680 square feet of retail space formerly occupied by California Tortilla at New Bridge Landing Shopping Center, 1061 Main Street in River Edge, N.J. David Townes, Senior Director of Retail Services at Cushman & Wakefield, represented Moe’s in the transaction.
Moe’s, a national franchise with more than 600 locations coast to coast, maintains a strong presence in New Jersey and continues to seek new opportunities for expansion, according to Townes. The transaction is indicative of a larger trend nationally in which savvy retailers are focusing their efforts on communities that are attracted to them, and the fact that the deal quickly closed in a market that’s particularly competitive speaks to the strength of the Moe’s brand in New Jersey, he said.
“The space at New Bridge Landing was a natural fit for Moe’s,” Townes said. “We’ve worked alongside them for some time as they develop their expansion strategy in New Jersey, and when this restaurant-ready space became available, we jumped on it. Moe’s will be a great addition to the restaurant offerings in River Edge, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing them to Bergen County.”
